Parent Coffees
In order to provide middle and high school parents with an opportunity to learn more about the strategic planning process and the High School Work Team's recommendations in particular, the superintendent held a series of parent coffees open to parents of students in grades 8-12.
One coffee was held in the early morning and one was held in the evening in order to accommodate different work schedules.
The superintendent provided participants with a brief overview of the strategic planning process and explained the rationale for redesigning the high school experience to better equip students with 21st century skills. She also described in some detail the recommended goals & strategies laid out by the High School Work Team, and allowed time for questions and reactions.
